Here are some picts of a loft bed i built in Park Slope before it has been painted. Painting takes longer than loft bed construction. The bedroom here is very narrow, and the loft bed allowed room underneath for a dresser and desk.

A plate is secured against the outer brick wall with concrete anchors

The cross beam attaches to the interior wall, so there is no column in the way of the room.
